JEE Mains Registration 2024
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main conducted two times in a year that means it conducted in two sessions, session 1 and session 2. this information is for JEE Mains 2024 Session 01. A candidate has the option to appply for one Session or both Sessions( Session 01 & Session 02) together.
If a candidate wishes to apply for one Session then he/she has to pay the examination fee of only one Session if they are wishing to give both Sessions then they have to pay the examination fee of that session also.
Students can apply online for both the Sessions( SEssion 01 & Session 02). Candidates can apply online through the official website of NTA that is jeemain.nta.ac.in
JEE Mains Registration Fee 2024
JEE Mains registratrion fee 2024 for General Male category is 1000 and for General female category is 800, for Gen-EWS/OBC male category is 900 and for female is 800 and SC/ST/PwD male and female category is 500.

How to register for JEE Mains 2024
Step 01- Visit the official website of NTA that is jeemain.nta.ac.in or jeemain.ntaonline.in
Step 02 – Candidates need to register through Digi Locker/ ABC ID.
Step 02 – Fill the application form by login through Application number and pre-created password or Digi locker ID and upload scanned documents like image of candidate, image of candidate’s signature etc.
Step 04 – Pay the registration fee applicable for your category and your registration will be successful.
By following the above steps your JEE Mains Registration 2024 will be done
Important Note:
(a) For Multiple Choice Questions: To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option
corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or
discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in
the following manner:
- (i) Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
- (ii) Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
- (iii) Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
- (iv) If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only
- those who have marked any of the correct options.
- (v) If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who
- have attempted the question.
- (vi) If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is
- dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared
- irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the
- candidate.
(b) For Numerical Value Questions:
There will be negative marking for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found
after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
- i. Correct Answer: Four marks (+4)
- ii. Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
- iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
- iv. If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks (+4)
- will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due
- to human error or technical error.
- v. Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the
- questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.
Eligibility for JEE Mains 2024
Here is the list of eligibility criteria for JEE Mains Registration 2024
Age Criteria
For appearing in the JEE (Main) – 2024, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates
who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or appearing in 2024
irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) – 2024 examination. However, the candidates
may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the Institute(s) to which they are desirous of taking
admission.
List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)
- i. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State
Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the India
School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. - ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/
University. - iii. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National
Defence Academy - iv. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open
Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. - v. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is
recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities
(AIU). - vi. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
- vii. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3
years duration. - viii. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the
Advanced (A) level. - ix. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International
Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. - x. Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or
from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of
Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent
to the Class 12 Examination. - xi. In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed
at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination
Only those candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or
those who are appearing in the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2024, are eligible to appear
in JEE (Main) – 2024.
Candidates who passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2021 or before as well as those
who will appear in such examination in 2024 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) –
2024.
