JNV Exam 2024 Class 6 for admission in jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is organised by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. JNV Exam 2024 Class 6

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) or JNV Exam is a school entrance test for admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across India. By appearing in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test students can take admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, if they qualify this examination. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya class 6th admission test will be conduct in two phases, that is phase 1 and 2. Phase 1 examination for class 6 will be held on 4 November, 2023 fro11:30 AM and Phase 2 examination for class 6 will be held on Saturday 20 January, 2024.

JNV Admit Card 2024

Admit Card for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test for 2024 will be available as per date decided by Navodaya vidyalaya Samiti. Admit cards will be downloaded free of cost by candidates before the conduct of JNVST.

Eligibility for JNVST

  • Candidates who are willing to take admission in class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is studying class V in a district is allowed to apply foradmission to JNV in the same district only.
  • Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located and studying class V in the same district are eligible to apply for admission.
  • Candidate has to reside in the district where he/she is seeking admission in the JNV located in the same District. Bonafide residence certificate of the parent is to be submitted at the time of verification of documents after the provisional selection.
  • Candidate has to study class V in any of the Govt. or Govt. recognized schools located in the same District during 2023-24.
  • Candidates who have passed class V before the session 2023-24 or repeated candidates are not allowed. NVS has the right to compare the application data of previous year(s) to identify the repeater candidates. If noticed, such candidates will not be allowed to appear for JNVST 2024.
  • A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2012 and after 31-07-2014. candidate has to produce a copy of the birth certificate issued by Government authority concerned at the time of admission.

RESERVATION OF SEATS in JNVs

  • At least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district.
  • Reservation of seats in favour of children belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is provided in proportion to their population in the district concerned provided that in no district, such reservation will be less than the national average (15% for SC and 7.5% for ST) but subject to maximum of 50% for both the categories (SC & ST) taken together.
  • 27% reservation shall be provided to the OBC students as per central list over and above reservation of SCs and STs. The reservations to the OBC students shall be implemented as per Central List, as applicable from time to time.
  • Minimum One third of the total seats are filled by girls.
  • There is a provision for reservation for ** Divyang children (i.e. Orthopedically Handicapped, Hearing Impaired and Visually Handicapped) as per GOI norms.
