By qualifying the School Entrance Test(SET) organised by BHU in Varanasi, students of class 6, 9 and 11th can get admission in Central Hindu Boys School and Central Hindu Girls School. To get admission in class 6 students have to gone through a lottery process because there is no written examiantion held for students of class 6. Selection of candidates in class 6 for Central Hindu Schools are held through a Lottery Process. To get selected throuhg lottery process, students have to only apply there application form by registering on the official website of BHU that is bhuonline.in. After registering on the official website of BHU students have to do nothing. Banaras Hindu University organised a lottery process in presence of some BHU Officers and some civilians and then they release the list of candidates according to their lottery rank and then final admission process will be held in Central Hindu Schools through counselling.

RESERVATIONS:
The following reservations will be given for admission against the seats available” in various classes after the admission of internal students:-
- 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
- 7.5% seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
- 27% seats are reserved for Other Backward Class- Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) candidates.
- 10% seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
